For most websites I would suggest SEO plugins are not really helping their SEO much, and just adding more code bloat and confusion

it depends on the situation but most of the time the only useful feature for me is changing <title> tags when I can’t use the existing titles, I usually use a dedicated plugin for XML sitemaps or other things, and I don’t use any of the goofy “keyword scores” tracking stuff either

Now that WordPress Core has built in XML sitemaps, it might be less needed.

Also depends if you need to alter your title tags or not
